history of futsal week

As passionate futsal enthusiasts, just like you, we’ve been proudly organizing Futsal Week for over a decade. Our mission has always been to unite everyone who shares a love for the sport of futsal.

Our founders are Mićo MartićMatija Đulvat, and Marko Šimurina. But our team had growth during the years, and you can see who is in our futsal story by clicking here.

Our story started in 2013 in Zadar, where we organized the 1st Futsal Week Tournament. It all started with U-16 Tournament with clubs Lika-SportCrnicaArenaKijevo Knin, and Futsal Zadar. Futsal Zadar won our 1st tournament.

In 2013th we had another Futsal Week Tournament, this time U-18, and club Farzandan Mehr from Iran won it.

1st adult tournament started in 2014 and Qatar won it. In 2015 we had three tournaments, and winners were MC PlusFutsal Dinamo and FC Kemi. We began to support women futsal, with 1st competition of this kind, MC Plus won the tournament.

In 2016 we organized four tournaments, and the winner was Kijevo KninFutsal DinamoMC Plus and Kosovo

We want to highlight 2017, where we had four national team tournaments! It was a big year for us. The winners were NetherlandsFinlandSlovakia, and Israel. This year, among national teams, we had these names: MontenegroSwitzerlandChinaHungaryDenmarkSan Marino, and Belgium.

2018 was also an exciting year because we started something special. We began with U-19 National team tournaments. Our guests from Iraq won 1st tournament, and this year we had two adult national team tournaments – Hungary and Kuwait won it!
